The meeting of a Remote Security Laboratory (ReSeLa) group took place on 25-27 April, 2016 in Blekinge Institute of Technology (Karlskrona, Sweden). The main meeting focus was a development and modification of ReSeLa – the ReSela+ version. Analysis of functional features of ReSeLa, overview the modified realization ReSeLa+, the way of both project evaluation and future direction of ReSeLa development were the main objectives of the meeting. The ReSeLa group members were Leo Truksans (University of Latvia ), Vida Ahmadi (Blekinge Institute of Technology/BTH), Olena Tkachova (Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics) and Anders Carlsson (general project manager, BTH). Vida Ahmadi and Anders Carlsson were in charge of developing the new version of ReSeLa – ReSeLa+. Students and developers from BTH worked under theit guidance. During the meeting they shared their contributions with other participants.

ReSeLa+ based on the management platform OpenStack. The developers use the latest version of OpenStack – Mitaka. The ReSeLa+ has addition functionality that realized as native OpenStack component. This is a reason of rapidly integration, deployment and implementation of ReSeLa+. Improvement the architecture of ReSeLa+ (backups and storage placed on a separate physical device) and Neutron architecture promise the better performance and reliability. Hight flexibility, transparency and performance are the main advantages of ReSeLa+.

After overview of ReSeLa+ the discussion about future development of ReSeLa took place. Rune Gustavsson (professor, KTH Royal Institute of Technology) and Kurt Tutschku (professor, BTH) took part in the discussion. There were highlighted the main advantages of the new implementation, as well as development opportunities of ReSeLa.

The participant discussed the ways to improve ReSeLa. Leo Truscans shared his view on the further development of the course. He answered on questions and explained which function can be add and improve in the future.

The decision about necessity of carrying out independent research and evaluation of performance and efficiency of both realizations ReSeLa and ReSeLa+ was made as a result of the discussion. Independent experts should do the evaluation of both realizations.
