ReSeLa workshop in Riga: current standing, development, training (27 – 30 July, 2015)
The workshop participants were Leo Truksans, course module leader, and Martin Balodis (UOL, Latvia), Anders Carlsson, Vida Ahmadi and Iryna Sokolianska (BTH, Sweden), Olena Tkachova and Oxana Eivseeva (KHNURE, Ukraine), Yaroslav Stefinko and Bogdan Voitusik (LPNU, Ukraine), Artom Shvidkii (SPSUT, Russia). Leo Truksans, Anders Carlsson and Martin Balodis explained to new members the main principles and functionality of ReSeLa.
During the first ReSeLa workshop day (27 July) the participant installed administrators workstation and provided platform deployment training (investigate a physical topology, overview necessary software and hardware).
On the second day workshop participants discussed the main important features of new system, provided platform deployment practice and obtained knowledge about all necessary parameters. The support of the teachers’ education was the topic of the second stage of 28 July. Web interface of new system, management function, the ways to upload and download laboratory materials were discussed.
The topics for the third day of ReSeLa Workshop were: teachers support practice, ReSeLa diagnostics and recovery. The participants learn how to create courses, add students and new Labs. The possible problems and ReSeLa diagnostics and recovery were discussed also.
At the last day all participants of “Remote security Lab” workshop shared their work results with each other, did important notes and made necessary updates to the development process.
In the nearest future members of “Remote security Lab” group will support new system, help teachers to create and manage all education process and solve possible problems. This will help a lot for the next stage of the project – teachers trainings.
