Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) is a globally attractive knowledge community within applied IT and innovation for sustainable growth. BTH was founded in 1989 which means that we are a young institute who manage education and research in new ways, but still with good quality.At Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) education and research are of a very high international standard and learning is the focal point for students, teachers and researchers alike. BTH is a recognized university under government control. It is the most distinctly profiled higher education institution in Sweden, with a clear focus on applied information technology and innovation for sustainable growth.

BTH offers study programmes and single subject courses in first, second and third cycles. 7,200 students study at our five schools. Around 35 professors and more than 100 associate and assistant professors work on two campuses.

 

The university has been functioning under the current name since 1945. Since the beginning of its existence, it has been an important centre of technical education. It belongs to the best technical universities in Poland – nearly 34 000 students study under the guidance of 2 000 academic teachers, at the 12 faculties, as well as in the 3 regional branches. It rates high in the annual rankings of Polish universities. Recently, it has been announced the best Polish technical university in Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities. The mission of the University is to shape the creative and critical personalities of students and define the directions of development in science and technology. The education is strongly linked with scientific research and the needs of economy and is consistent with standards of the European Higher Education Area.

 

The UL Faculty of Computing in cooperation with the UL Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science provides higher academic as well as professional education and conducts research in the fields of computer science and information technologies.The studies are organized in 4 levels based on the pyramid principle:

1. The college level prepares programmers and computer network administrators by offering knowledge and skills that correspond to the standards of the first level professional higher education;

2. The bachelor’s level requires mastering not only programming, but also designing and development of complex programme systems;

3. The master’s level where one learns to analyze and design large systems as well as manage projects;

4. The doctoral level prepares highest qualification specialists for the development of large and complex projects as well as for work in higher educational institutions.

The studies offer five education fields of computing (specializations).

 

The University of the Aegean is one of the youngest Universities in Greece, and was established in 1984. It comprises sixteen departments located in the islands of Samos, Lesvos, Chios, Rodos, Syros, and Limnos in the Aegean Archipelagos. It has a wide range of educational activities, including more than 25 MSc programs, more than 20 summer schools and about 50 e-learning training programs.
The Information & Communication Systems Security Lab (Info-Sec-Lab) includes seven academic staff mem­bers and more than twenty research scientists and engineers. Members of the Info-Sec-Lab have been involved in several R&D projects on Se­cu­ri­ty and Privacy, security investigations, au­dits, security conference committees, and security reviews. Most of the R&D projects have been funded by either European Commission Programs or the Greek government. The lab, also, supports an MSc program on information & communication systems security.

 

BKA has been supporting and assigned partner for example of the ISEC 2009 funded Cybercrime training project, lead by Europol. KI32 has been leading the ISEC 2010 project on Cybercrime training, where three courses have been developed by BKA. KI32 is the Specialized Criminal Police Training unit of the federal and state police in Germany – developing, organizing and disseminating trainings for the German Police. KI32 has taken the lead of the development of the national Cybercrime training concept in Germany 2003 – 2006 and provides this training since 2007. KI32 developed with experts from Cybercrime forensic units a training for court experts in that field – the training will be disseminated in cooperation with the University of Mannheim. KI32 organized once a year Cybercrime trainings for European Law Enforcement with OLAF since 2007 for 60 ~ 130 participants each.

 

Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (KhNURE) is one of the oldest schools in Ukraine. It’s research and educational capabilities in electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, information and computer technologies have no equals in Ukraine and CIS. Today the University is a house for over 12 thousand students majoring in 34 specialties on the 8 faculties. Teaching staff includes 135 professors and 340 post-graduate degree holders, 9 Honorary Scientists of Ukraine and 25 members of national and international Academies. University has many specialized laboratories and centers, such as center for distance learning, an electronic library, student television center, laboratory of satellite television, laboratories of the electronic technologies, information security, consumer electronics, microprocessor devices, bank technologies and others. KhNURE hosts National Association “Antenna” and Eastern-Ukrainian department of IEEE.

 

The University is a leading educational institution in Ukraine. Famous scientists in infocommunications and information security industry teach the students. During the training curriculum teachers consult and coordinate their educational programs with the leading telecommunications operators.The infocommunications as a new field of knowledge is proposed in the University. This master program focuses on modern technologies: digital TV, 4th generation mobile networks, future networks and broadband access networks.

The University graduating students are highly qualified specialists in the areas: telecommunication systems and networks, radio equipment and telecommunications, optoelectronic system, information security systems. The specialized academic councils work for these specialties.

 

Research area of the Information Security Chair is connected primarily with investigation and development of technical information security equipment, computer network security systems, new principles of construction and methodologies projecting of equipment of immittance measurement, with development of theoretical bases of analysis and design of pulse-numeric functional converters. Another research area of construction of computer network security system using attractant systems has been perspective in the sphere of computer systems and network protection, as attractant-systems could be used as an effective instrument of network attacks indicating and analysis. The chair closely cooperate with Western regional educating-scientific information security center of the Lviv Politechnic National University.

 

NGO UISG is a legal entity for Ukrainian information security community which includes ~ 1500 infosec experts. The community members discuss actual problems/issues in the field of cyber security in groups NGO UISG and UISG in LinkedIn network.The founders of the Group believe that they can unite efforts of Ukrainian professionals for:

* further popularization and advancement of modern InfoSec ideas and practices;
* to became “symbol of trust” in the sphere of cyber threats mitigation within Ukraine as well as abroad.

NGO UISG is the organizer of annual national infosec Conference UISGCON.

 

AIESEC is an international youth organization that helps develop skills and personal qualities, get new experience, taking part in international programs and projects in the organization. AIESEC unites active young people from 113 countries. Members of the organization are students and graduates who have each day developing personally and professionally towards forming themselves as leaders, and they want to know how to change the world for the better. We believe that developing the skills and personal qualities, we enable young people to influence the future of the world.AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to develop as leaders through a complex experience that is formed by three main elements: Experience in leadership; International Programs AIESEC; Global educational environment. AIESEC in Ukraine since 1994, brings together more than 1,000 students from 70 universities. Local Committees of organization are working in 19 cities of Ukraine.

 

Kharkov State Regional Scientific and Research Center on a Technical Protection of the Information was established in 1997. Center has special license from the State government authority on specialized communication and information protection which allows providing services to public, government and commercial enterprises in a field of working environment securing, information security and its protection. Center contributes to government and authorities on state policy development in area of information protection and security. Staff of the Center on 70% consists of Ph.d and researchers which allows run numerous research and development activities in areas on information security, secured systems design, electro-magnetic compatibility.

 

Science and Research company Radio and Telecommunication Systems – private company which works in area of telecommunication technologies research and development, information security and protection. Among primary activities are development, implementation and maintenance of information systems facilities, protection of the information which transmitted over acoustic, electromagnetic fields and electrical signals; consulting services in areas of communication technologies and information security; development and production of complex technical information security systems, to protect from unauthorized access to information. Company has several licenses from government authorities which permits appropriate activities and services in telecom fields.

 

Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine – is the main government institution in Ukraine, responsible for development and implementation of the national policy in education and science. The main objectives of the Ministry are determination of the prospects and priorities of the Education and Science, Innovation and Information, Intellectual Property development in Ukraine; ensures development of educational, research, innovation, information potential of Ukraine; integrates national education and science, information resources, intellectual property; carries out regulatory and legal framework; defines the strategy for monitoring of the education quality and controls its realization; provides licensing and accreditation of higher educational institutions.

 

Kaliningrad State Technical University (KSTU) is the oldest higher education institution in Russia and the only in the Region gives education in almost the all industrial and economic activities. The University offers studies at various levels, namely, Bachelor, Professional Diploma, Master, post-graduate and doctorate, as well as upgrading programmes for specialists. Since 2011 in compliance with Bologna process the KSTU has been developing a new multi-level training system – Bachelor – Master – PhD –Doctorate Degrees.Along with the others KSTU is preparing specialist in Information Technology and Computing Machinery, Complexes, Systems and Networks, Data Processing and Control Systems, and offering interdisciplinary course in Applied Information Technology in Economics.

During last years to the training curricula the Bachelor’s Program in Information Security was introduced. The next step in this area is development of Master Degree modules in Computers Security.

 

Yaroslavl State University (YSU) was founded in 1803. YSU has 7020 students and 1191 staff. The university primarily serves the Yaroslavl province but also has students from other parts of Russia and from abroad. As a state university YSU reports directly to the Federal Ministry of Education. YSU is currently ranked 33rd amongst the 91 classical universities in Russia in the nationwide performance rating by the Ministry. YSU provides 43 programs of classical type and bachelor, 28 master programs and 41 post-graduate programs. Introduction of new master programme in Cyber Security is based on students’ interests of the following faculties: IT, Mathematics, Physics. Mathematical faculty has “Computer security” area of study. In 2004 YSU concluded an agreement with worldwide leader in network technologies and Internet equipment, Cisco Systems, concerning the development of Cisco Networking Academy. Pearson VUE and Thomson Prometric international testing centers work in YSU.

 

The Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications holds a leading position not only among universities of communications, but also among other technical universities in Russia. The staff of our university is highly skilled experts in the field of telecommunications, broadcasting, information communication, multimedia, information systems, information security, advertising and television. The university provides 15 educational programs to 10,000 students. In the university there is a tiered system of continuous training: high school – lyceum – college – university. Graduate education includes doctoral and post-doctoral studies programs, as well as in-service training programs. The educational process is conducted in close cooperation with leading companies in the telecommunications sector.

 

The information security and computer network protection are one of the key research areas of SPIIRAS. These problems of are investigated within international and federal projects by a set of laboratories such as laboratory of computer security problems, laboratory of cryptology and others. For example, the laboratory of computer security problems currently conducts research in security information and event management (EU Project MASSIF), embedded system security (EU Project SecFutur), development of methods for integrated network protection against network attacks based on hybrid multi-agent modeling and simulation of computer counteraction, and design of the intelligent security services in critical infrastructures (Project of Russian Ministry of Education and Science), etc. The institute employees share their knowledge in information security with students when lecture specialized courses at the basic departments affiliated to leading St. Peterburg universities.

 

Department of Informatization and communication of Yaroslavl Region in the Russian Federation is government authority of Yaroslavl Region. The Department develops and realizes state politics concerning regional informatization and communication, formation of electronic government, television and radio broadcasting in the territory of Yaroslavl region. The department organizes technical security of information and technical reconnaissance counterwork during information processes in the administration of Yaroslavl Region.

 

The training center is specialized on providing corporate and open training in information security.Our main courses are: Protection of personal data; Technical protection of confidential information; Cryptography; Ethical hacking; ISO 27001: introduction, implementation and internal audit; Administering of Astra Linux Special Edition; Certification of software; Common Criteria;

We have partner relationships with Bauman Moscow State Technical University and National research nuclear university «MEPhI». The training center is a member of ACP program of British Standards Institution.

 

Noncommercial Partnership «The partnership of experts of information security» was registered on 7 Sept 2009. Today it is the community of experts, who have professional point of view on different problem questions in the Cyber Security sphere. Moreover it is club for the communication and experience sharing between specialists in the information security.Activity of Noncommercial Partnership members is focused on the investigation and practice of the up-to-date approaches and technologies in the cryptographic protection area and information security. The members of Noncommercial Partnership take part in Cyber Security conferences regularly. These conferences have not only regional level, but federal and international levels. The Noncommercial Partnership members are oriented to up-to-date decisions in the Cyber Security sphere.

 

Yaroslavl regional public organization «Union of students» works with 9 universities (including branches) of Yaroslavl and Yaroslavl region. The members of «Union of students» are 1000 students. The main goal of the organization is to create favourable conditions for students’ self-actualization. The directions of activities of «Union of students» are patriotic education, development of a volunteer base, student self-actualization in creative work, cross-cultural communication development, staff assistance, works during 17 years. Organization got “best student and youth NGO” status in Yaroslavl region many times. There are about 500 social awards.
